To say I’m a little off my game would be an understatement. Here we are going into April and I’ve only really worked out a handful of times. I’m so in this rut, I can’t see the edge to grab on and pull myself out. But I haven’t totally given up. To totally give up would to be admit defeat and to just throw my hands out and be like F it! I haven’t reached that point. So time to put a goal before me, one that I can’t be half a$$ on. Last last year, I will be doing a Spartan Race again! My goal would be to beat my time of 3 hours, 6 minutes from last year. But I may forgo that since I’ll have some new first time Spartan runners with me.In what looks like the making of a family affair, this year’s Spartan race will be myself, the misses, the misses mother, sister, and nephew. So far all of us are signed up to run the Spartan Sprint this coming June 6th under the TeamWalkItNation banner! And if that wasn’t enough my little one will be doing the Spartan Junior race herself this coming May. After I asked her if she wanted to do it, she said yes and then asked “Can you train me?”. So there you go, I got to get the little one ready and you have to show by doing. So looks like I’ll be right there with her working it out, training for the race.
Now this will be my second time running the Spartan Sprint and while the main goal is to help make sure everyone (including myself lol) finishes the race, I will try to see if I can beat my time as well. So that is the goal and June 6th is the date. If anyone is interested in running with us, this Sprint is taking place in New York. Hit me up and I’ll give you the TeamWalkItNation details. This now also makes two of the WalkItNation crew who is doing a Spartan race. Myself on June 7th and Janelle our resident marathon runner will be doing it on May 31st. Aroo!
